In the end the team pays for his reputation and he got his reputation from his performance on and off the bike.

Soon Saxo will be without a GC rider as Berti already hintered about retiring a while ago. i think they should be grooming Sagan for their next GC rider ( he got the drive for that ) OR BMC will pick him up ( they can afford him and they dont have a GC rider of note )
