 haha

And the tyre is not even that old...

Anyways, I was actually thinking of popping over to the Trailhead bike shop at the Spruit this afternoon for them to quickly help me (if they are willing). Are you really closeby to the Spruit?

Just want it to be ready in time for my next ride on 16 June

The beading must be damaged/torn/ stretched at that 1 point only.

Throw the tyre away, its not worth the risk.

You dont want a blow out when you alone....

Geax Saguro is the older model, it has been replaced by vittoria saguro...everything still the same, pretty hardcore tyre never had issues like that, i just know once my snakeskin exploded while sitting at the coffee shop...it never seated again...

Yup - about 1km - you can bring it to me in Rosebank this afternoon, home over the weekend or Jason at the Trailhead - either or... :)

I'm 84kg, and I've started running my front tyre at 2 bar. Geax Saguaro TNT, on Fulcrum Red Metal Sl wheelset.

Twice now, it has burped every little molecule of air out whilst riding at Heia safari, that the tyre sticks to the rim.

After the first time I had it serviced, and thought all was good. And it was, if I did the Spruit. But I went back to Heia safari today, and it happened again! Even bombing it twice made no difference. Air just escaped out the rim.

Not an issue of servicing or slime. And surely not an issue of 2 bar?

Is it my floor pump that's innacurate? are my rims not suitable? Do I need to run a higher pressure?

It's flippin annoying. Makes me want to stick bloody slime filled tubes in.

I run the same rims , fantastic rims these Fulcrum Metal SL . I had the same problem with a Maxxis tyre a wile back , it happened twice with Me ,I Cleaned all the old slime from the rim and tyre added fresh sealant and pumped that wheel 3,5 Bar and left it overnight . The next day I deflated the tyre back to 1,8 bar and I never had that problem again , I think the tyre were not seating properly on the rim , The initial higher pressure that I pump it , seemed to work for the problem I had , Give it a go .

So I'm a moron...

Tested my floor pump at the cycle shop this afternoon, and it was verified, my floor pump has been under reading by 1 bar [emoji33] so we all had a flipping good laugh...

So I've been running my front tyre at 1 bar and my rear at 1.2 bar [emoji12] So all things considered, my equipment has done flippin well!

I guess this proves that if you weigh 84kg and you run Geax Saguaro with Fulcrum wheels, you can do 100% of the blue route at Heia safari and 90% of the red route at 1 bar [emoji38] [emoji38]

Looking forward to running a real 1.8 bar front tyre again.

Hahahaha that tyre must have been squirming at 1bar!!

Slow and super-ultra grippy.

what is most surprising is that it actually did quite well! The sidewalls didnt really buckle going around corners. only the steep cornering descents were too much for it...

And all this is exactly why I bought one of these. My floor pump reads 3.5 bar but when I check it on the gauge, 1.9 bar.

Well worth the R200 spent for it... And I use it on my car too thanks to the valve type being adjustable.

Not to derail the thread :whistling: , but where did you get the digital gauge for R200?  I am looking at buying one at the moment, and they are all in the vicinity of R400 to R450?
