We have a 40km entry that cannot be used anymore (broken bike) if anyone is interested? Not sure whether entries are still available, if not, I have one.

I ran my 29HT last year at Lionman 1.5 front (Rocket Ron snakeskin) and 1.8 rear (Racing Ralph snakeskin).

This year 29 FS. And will be running 1.3 front and 1.7 back on Maxxis Ikon Exo Protection.

Super excited about the race. A bit nervous though seems to be quite a tough one!! From the route profile seems that if you survive the first 30-40km of the marathon you should be fine!!

Hubbers...

This is my first race, any tips/advice? We've signed up for the 40km. I ride every weekend doing 30-50km.

Not looking at being competitive, looking and gaining some experience. I need a little help on rules etc and what to expect.

I have a decent enough bike and have all the kit. Am I allowed my hydration pack? What about music?

Most importantly, how is this one's route? I've heard everyone say its a tough one, but they're all doing/have done the 70km

Hydration pack - yes no music while racing.

I ride FS, pressure will be 1.8 rear and 1.5-1.6 front. And I weigh about 90kg with all gear

Heard from someone that rode some trails close to Mabalingwe over the weekend.

The man says you better have enough sealant in your tires because you will need it. SO have it checked before Saturday. And maybe a extra bomb for the people running low pressures.

Looking forward to returning to this great race!

82kg on a good day. I like to think I ride light. Did Van Gaalens marathon recently on those Ikons with those pressures and had no issues at all.

Ride XCO when it used to be at Thaba and now at Voortrekker Monument with no issues either.

Hey Guys'nGals,

Where is the physical start of the race, I am trying to get a fix on when I must leave my digs to get to the start, is it by pool complex or the airfield maybe?
