Feet cramps while riding

Don't know if cleats would help - unless they're softer soled.

Usually I give them a good rub (no fun... ) and hope for it to go away!

I jump of and stand on my toes for few seconds. seems to help.

Cleats should help. I found that my feet cramp when they are positioned incorrectly on the pedals. With cleats they can only be in one place. So suffer till you find the sweet spot and then life is good

Big ups to Vetseun sorting the man out!

Thanks for the advise. Looking forward to the shoes.

I believe I have a few falls ahead of me at traffic lights and stop streets... hahaha

Road or MTB - I have a set of 9,5 Giro road shoes that I bought which are basically brand new and I am a size 10 - just never got around to advertising them. Make me an offer and they are yours if you need road shoes.

Hi all.

I do not get cramps in my legs back or arms while cycling. But when I get on my bike, after about 5 km into the ride my feet starts cramping. I thought this will go away when I am more fit etc, but it doesnt. It is actually getting more painful.

I ride flats with cages on. and use "tekkies" with a very thin stiff sole and no padding.

My question how do I stop that from happening?

Somebody please give this guy an old pair of shoes and cleats

Vetseun is sending me a pair, waiting for IQ to come back to me. Then I can have a choice and see if it makes any difference, and which one is more comfy.

You haven't seen or heard the deal I will do for the guy now have you. I have  a lot of stuff lying around that I dont use and it is better off in a noobs hands than in my garage.

Rather pay it forward mate - it has a habit of coming back to you. I have given kit to a lot of people on the hub.

I was thinking about that. Already have the pedals, but don't want to spend R1500 on a pair of shoes if its not going to help.....

What size shoe are you?

Sorry did not see that someone has helped out.

I have pair of Shimano Mtb shoes that are size 9.

If you don't come right let me know.

Now that is opportunistic but at one time I did have and that was sold rather than donated to the cause. Carbon fibre bits are not easily given away..

Got a lot of old road pedals - about 5 sets of Time and three sets of shoes, seatposts, saddles, bars etc but most of the shifters and cranks went to Divernick and some of the Choc Cows guys who were raffling bikes.

Actually now that I look at the post this makes me look like the guy in the other thread that is breaking bikes and selling them or maybe acting like Robin Hood - giving them to the poor. Maybe I should just shut up about where I got it all from
