Good news, you guys were right, weight was wrong. 13.46kg, double checked.

Probably going to go AC Wide Lightning wheelset also, nice and light - quite excited actually!

BTW my Camber is carbon...

Thanks everyone, great advice as always, lots to think of.

Wheel wise, leaning towards AC or Arch Ex with Hopes, will go check them out this afternoon.

Also getting bike back from LBS today, will certainly weight it again, hopefully something wrong with their scale. :-)

Rear triangle is alloy, BTW.

Awesome, how much weight did you drop on the bike?

Have a set myself, awesome, just don't try and run tooooo low pressures, I dented my rear rim running 1.6 bar .. my own fault. But with the dent they still function 100% like before so no worries.

Running mine 1.5 in front and 1.7 in the back now.

Was in a bit of a hurry to collect, haven't weighed yet. Aiming at 1.8 front and back on 82kg initially, see how it handles.

if you want to shed weight and spend money then ditch the comp model and but the S-Works Camber...The problem with upgrades is that it costs you more money in the long term and you still have the heavier Alu frame at the end of it all...

Do the math, a decent light set of wheels is gonna set you back R10-15k lighter groupset R8-15k (depending on XT over XTR) bars R1-2k seatpost the same, so at the end of it all you have spent at least R30k on a bike that is not worth R60K (R30k bike + R30K upgrades) on the open market. If you're lucky you'll get R30k for it including the upgrades and less if you "undo" the upgrades to sell it - then you have time and labour doing so...

Rather sell it as is and put the R30k into buying the higher end model that includes all the tit bits (carbon rims, post, bars etc) and get the overall lighter frame.

Look at the end of the day its your money and I don't care how you waste it. But my thinking is its no good trying to polish a turd...

New carbon camber is listed at R136k...

Wheels done.

Next up a carbon handle bar. The shops seem to stock very little, online seems best best. Any suggestions on reasonable weight/price combo. Probably looking at around 200g.

Current spec (aiming for something similar):

HANDLEBARS Specialized XC, mini rise, 6000 butted alloy, 8-degree backsweep, 6-degree upsweep, 10mm rise, 31.8mm

I've looked at CWC (very few options) and Evo (lots of options, but expensive). Wouldn't mind keeping it in the R1500 range.

Thanks!

I recently installed a Easton EC70 on my Camber Carbon Comp and Im loving it. Paid R1200.00 for it, and installed it myself. I can highly recommend this bar as an upgrade.

Quite like the look of it. Where did you buy for this price?
