At last, here it is.

Cycling on the N1, N2 and N7 is illegal and highly dangerous. 

 

So that leaves you with route 3 East

N2, that stretch around Sir Lowrys pass also not illegal.

N7, also not Illegal.

I have Never had a bad experience or an accident whilst on any of my many rides.

But when riding just to the local store, around every corner is almost an accident.

West coast ride looks amazing. Going for 150km +- ride this weekend after 2 weeks of flu.

Riding on the National Arterial scares me half to death though. But then again cycling up Constantia nek is no picnic either!

But not like the traffic officers really enforce it.

Not all parts of the N1, N2 etc are freeways/highway. Where it is a dual carriage way i.e the N2 from town to Strand its illegal, but as frail said, the sir lowrys part aint....
