At the same price Would you buy a Titan Carbon 29er with Manitou Pro Expert Fork

or Scott Scale 960 with Fork Rock Shox XC 30 TK Solo Air 1 1/8” .

How serious rider are you? My friend bought a Merida carbon bike with full suspension. After a month he broked his frame... from a slight touch on a rock. He see how I take jumps and stuff in front of him... but he said that he will never try that with a carbon bike!!

A "slight touch" will not break carbon. This sounds like a "just riding along" incident. I do everything on my plastic Bike that I do with my Ali bike. Don't mistake lack of rider skill for lack of bike quality.

I prefer the geometry of the Scott, and will pick the Scott and then upgrade the fork later. Don't choose a bike solely on the specs, how it rides is very important, and Scott is great when it comes to hardtails.

That's what he wrote on the insurance form ;)

Seeing as downhill bikes are predominantly carbon now....i can't understand how they are not shattering as a result of all their slight rock touches
