It's in the classifieds here too...

Doesnt Cash Crusaders offer a service whereby you can park your goods at them in an attempt to sell. If it sells. A percentage of the sale price is their commission. I am sure I read that somewhere.

You can also make a loan against your goods for a certain time period. However if you don't collect it then goes out on the floor.

If it's up for public viewing then it's for sale. So if anyone has questions to ask they they can go to the back area where items are booked in and then you can ask if the "owner" has left proof of purchase and who the previous owner was if you have proof of a claim against that items. So if it's stolen then hellllll go claim your bike. Cash crusaders take a copy of all Ids of people who sell their goods incase it's stolen. Cash crusaders is legit. It's some of the sellers that's not legit.

perfectly legitimate sale.. Dont go stoking a fire where there isnt one

I dont think anybody was stoking a fire. Given the number of bike thefts in the Cape, I think the OP noticed the bike and created awareness. Cash Crusaders is a second hand goods dealer so it could be a channel for thieves to sell goods. It all seems to be legit but it could just as well have been different.

There was a high end bike recovered from their Mitchells Plein branch not long ago thanks to someone stoking a fire in here.

Oh please man. How do you know?

Does anyone know how many stolen bikes have been recovered from CC type stores? I have heard of at least 3. Very often they are willing to help so good on them.
