Oh please man. How do you know?

Does anyone know how many stolen bikes have been recovered from CC type stores? I have heard of at least 3. Very often they are willing to help so good on them.

AGREE

cc have been found with plenty of pinched bikes (check threads on thehub )

on the ooops sorry principal they have never been held responsible for any

sorry giantspez but everyone is right to be suspicious

we need to be vigilant and take care of our fellow cyclists interests

Well then he should say so in words like you used. Thread would be finished and klaar.

Maybe tomorrow someone sees a black and orange Santa Cruz at Cash Crusaders and decides "I better not stoke a fire where there isnt one"

Hold up, has anyone ever seen a spez in these colours? What I have heard from the bike shops that have been to look at the bike is that its a Chinese frame and rims with stickers.

I found one and posted it on here. Found the owner. Cash Crusaders were very helpfull. To be fair to them you cant criticise them for other peoples actions.

Exactly. Cash Crusaders are selling it legitimately. If it was sold to them illegally, thats a different story.

Insinuating that the business is dodgy is just plain and simple derogatory.

They will not risk blatantly selling stolen high end goods. They also know people will quickly spread the word if a high end piece of bike is in their shop, attracts negative attention.

Lets rather focus on the bikes getting stolen in the first place and where they go. (1 or 2 out of a gazillion does not mean they all go to Cash Crusaders)

I can't remember whether it was Crusaders/Convertors or anything else in Wynberg, but I bought (and returned to the rightful owner) a carbon Niner hardtail very highly specced (XX groupset etc) for R8k. When I went there with the police they had originally bought it for R3.5k from a guy who had sold them 3 A4 pages worth of items (they printed it from their system). It's either complete negligence or dodgy - you decide which. I doubt they buy anything without some idea of what it's worth and that bike was probably worth R25k+ minimum.
