GaryvdM Posted July 23, 2015 Author Posted July 23, 2015 The gym is in towers west (aka Barclays Africa building.) You need a access card to get to the gym, which I don't have yet. The phone number for the Gym is 011 846 1607. I road home last night, and back this morning and had a wet wipes "shower" in my car . Hopefully I can get access to the gym showers soon.

I will register at the gym for shower facilities and the odd spin class. The route however remains a stumbling block in my mind.

The only bike-parking that I've located are at the corner of the west-tower. it's open, unguarded & that is not monitored by surveillance camera within the west tower. During my time which I'd worked there, I've only saw 2 "makro bikes" which had used those parking...

This thread is about two years, so would like to know:if bike parking is still available at ABSAwill I have the option of showering after my morning commutewhat would be the best route to take if I'm coming from the Brixton Area? I don't mind going through Melville/Auckland if there is a better options going this way. I currently commute to Braam using Caroline/Enoch Sontonga/Jorisson. Any advice/help would be really appreciated.
Big Phil Posted October 17, 2017 Posted October 17, 2017 Bike parking still available in underground parking and shower facilities at the Absa gym which cost around R200 pm. For some reason they frown upon showers only no idea why. As for the route. Your guess is as good as mine. Been trying to figure that out for years.
