Do they as safety glasses offer UV protection? If they do then they are great. If not, hey will cause more harm to your eyes than they are worth.

Not much UV light at dusk/night riding!

I'd take a pair of those for a fiver!

I'm also not really concerned about the UV levels at 4am, when I'd be using them...  :whistling:

I have real sunglasses for day time.

As long as they're optically correct they will not damage your eyes. Also, they will block more UV than not wearing glasses.

Yup, not a great deal of UVA or B around when the sun's below the horizon...

I ride with the clear lens ones. Have had 2 pairs and they great. For the price and the protection they offer its brilliant. Their styling is also not too bad. I'm a big fan.

These work like a champ, good quality brand name safety glasses which are certified and have UV protection such as these will rival sunglasses 10 times the price, granted they don't have any photochromic magic or blinged up styling(which I prefer, ubiquitous Oakleys bleh) but the basics they are designed to do they will excel at.
