So today's rumour is that if Kittel and Giant can come to an agreement about his remaining year left on his contract that he will be Etixx bound. He has had a very disappointing season to say the very least. .from Illness to injury to back to illness.

It's a rather good deal, I get a bike, kit, race entries and travel expenses, and on the off chance that I win a race, I get to keep the winnings. We're not a big team - currently, I am the only rider. The team manager can be quite tricky, but she has my best interests at heart. Apart from being a rider, I am also the team owner, and currently, I am the sole sponsor of the team too.

I thought the team only had backing till 2017, but maybe there is more coming in. AFAIK orica is also not such a major sponsor and most of the $$$ still comes from the owner Gerry Ryan (who is Jayco - caravans down under). The Bike-Exchange sponsorship is a little bit hard to read into, doesn't look like it's a huge company at all and more of a trading platform so I would be surprised if they threw loads of $$$ at it.

Jerry Ryan is in mining, Jaco Carvans, horse racing and also made a mint in developing the Walking with the Dinosaurs show through his company. He is also on the on the board / part owner of Bike Exchange. He was also president of Cycling Australia and sponsors a number of sporting teams (mainly womens netball and Basket ball) as well as a number of olympic athletes and had a part in Melbourne Storm (NRL). With Chavez and the Yates twins as good prospects then they howe to bulk up the GC firepower else their key riders are going to continue to be as Isolated as they have at the Giro, Vuelta and Tour.
