Cleaning a helmet

Just open the thing immediately when it stop and all you get is a smog full of steam. Damn hot. Now what would that heat do to the helmet foam, the clasps, the plastic cover? Anyone, please do this and take a pikcha after you put it on. Pleaseeeee

Now,

your chain, cluster and chainrings, those clean nicely in the dishwasher

Something just struck me - most guys probably don't know how a dishwasher work.

 

I wanted to ask the same thing - aren't you guys house trained? If turn this knob and press that button...voila, cold wash! Or just read the manual. That said...my helmet needs a wash.

Just wear your helmet in the shower after you ride!

Bucket, water, soap powder. Weight on top of helmet to keep under water. Soak. Remove and rinse with clean water. If straps are really crusty with sunblock and sweat scrub with brush.
