slowpoke Posted April 9, 2008 Posted April 9, 2008 KF, hmmm, that list makes for interesting readin cos it's all lies - i was burgled and my ridgie and rottie influenced pooches were useless. heard yesterday that someone here was burgled last week and she's got GS and staffy... ie NO "kid" is gonna deter determined burglars and i'd rather my kids survived then dies protecting mere property.

THey become our "kids" which you will lay down your life for. A bit skewed but true. Also dogs as pack animals will protect you, but not necessarily your property, unless specifically trained too. Some dogs like the pitbull, bull terrier and chow can become highly territorial thereby sometimes attacking intruders, but often these dogs are locked outside (or are outside dogs) and thereby either not willing or able to protect the inside of the home, where burgularies occur. However, if someone does break in my home at night he will either die of a broken neck when he trips over authur (my zipperdog) sleeping in the passage, or he will die of affixihation from all the winds the dog produces at night. (my house is a real gas chamber, with no smoking allowed in doors or near aurthurs tail). I however have a miniture dacshound that bites (eventually)
