Mmmm - so the redbull site hadn't updated after MSA..thought it looked too close..will go back and edit first post

yup, no worries. but it does prove the point. i looked around for where this actually gets covered - only uci.ch and redbull.tv, none of the other 'big' cycling sites seem to worry about it. surely some of the hardcore die hards know where the non mainstream DH reporters write their stuff.

i don't have much to do this afternoon, so was fooling around with the figures - here's where the standings has jumped around.

I will tell you why, going to court to get out of his trek contract and go to spez. No doubt spez funded the whole thing...lawyer wise. That right there is the main reason that I always hope he sees his koek / fails.

BUT he has brass balls and huge talent. Can't take that away from him

Oh please, happens in rugby on a weekly basis. Contracts can be gotten out of. Pretty sure Trek got compensated. They didn't own him.

Sure with the right brand and their bankroll behind you, you can schnay anyone. Doesn't mean it's right though and in a sport that has a typical "f-the-man" culture, makes him a bit of a sellout.

But go team Gwin....NOT

I saw Connor taking a short cut over one of the boardwallks and greg following it, will they be allowed to do that during the race?

Then Minnaar is also a sell out for all the clothing endorsements he chases. You know, being wisked off after podium presentations in a chopper to go and prance around in a tux. How dare these guys follow the most lucrative offer in a sport where your career is shorter than Pistorius' temper and your next paycheck may never come due to a freak crash.

You telling me if you get a financially more rewarding offer in your line of work you're not going to go for it? Sentiment and adoration doesn't feed the baby.
