I put everything in my pockets.

I dont like it when boepensie guys put lots of heavy things in their back pockets. It makes their shirts pull tight on their tummies. This is just wrong. These guys are allowed to have the biggest saddle bags they want.

Ah that reminds of another reason why not to put everything in your back pockets

It pulls the neck tight against the throat and could / does choke you

But then conversely it also stop the bottom of your shirt creeping up when you lean forwards on the handle bars revealing the juncture between the top of the shorts and the lower back region....

I guess I should fing myself a saddle bag in that case :(

I have a boep, as such I have the largest Lezyne saddle bag I could find, holds my S4, puncture repair kit, 2 multitools and keys. Pump is fitted to the frame. I won't put anything heavy or hard in shirt pockets ever.

When you do your weekend rides, do you carry your tools (tyre levers, bombs, CO2 pump and repair kit) and extra tube in a saddle bay or in your jersey pockets and why?

How about multi day stage races?

This is on the assumption that you don't use a camel pack.

Was never a fan of a saddle bag....it's like carrying a moon bag to the shopping centre!!

I use back pockets, when you do stage races.....let your partner carry the tools ect. and you carry the food, or the otherway around

Tool bottle in a cage for me... with each tool in its own plastic bag and all bags inside a checkers packet wrapped up tight - eliminates all rattles and ensures a tight fight. Hydration pack on my back for a spare tube and something to drink/wallet/car keys/jacket/warmers/etc.

This combo also means effortless hydration without having to stop cycling.

I had the saddle bag dangly thingy for a while but I found that it shred to pieces and also rubbed the paint off my seat post so that wont be reappearing on any of my bikes again in the future.

I use a standard tool bottle with 1 x multi tool with built in chain breaker, 2 x bombs, 1 x bomb adapter, 2 x quick-links, 1 small bottle of lube, 1 x tubeless puncture repair kit, 1 x derailleur hanger, 4 x cable ties, 1 x small leatherman, 2 x gators.....all held in a sock to stop the rattling. Sock also helps to hold the bomb so you don't freeze your fingers to it. I tape 2 pieces of insulation tape over the cover to stop the lid from popping off and can use the insulation tape if need arises. Yes it all fits. Just need to know how to pack it. Tube is taped to the seat post just in case.

When I do stage racing I take the toolbottle and carry it in my jersey and then have 2 water bottles.

Works for me and I can transfer tool bottle to any bike.
