End of the road bike era?

I'd rather ride canti brakes before mechanical disc.

Seems like it's all with Hydraulic brakes.

Agreed re cantis - and they just look the part.

Only discs I will ride on a road/ CX bike are top end mech calipers. BB7s etc. If I was to give up my cantis that is - which is not anytime soon.

That's just me.

Untill the pro's ride gravel grinders and win tours, the weekend warrior will keep still buying road bikes.

On the other hand, it may be the end of MTB, I am selling my MTB to buy a gravel grinder, 90% of my MTB can be dealt with on a CX bike.

Its just a new market, will cannibalize from both segments.

Wonder how long it is before the industry convinces us that we're on the wrong wheel size and that all gravel grinders *need* to be bigger. ;)
