Good day

Looking to borrow a road bike for about a month. I need to send my bike in for a warranty claim and the process takes about 4 weeks. I cannot afford to miss 4 weeks of training. I have certain aspirations for the rest of the year and rolled over to next year Feb.

I you now of anybody or a shop that would be willing to assist please let me know.

The bike will be insured by me and I will cover shipping as well.

Frame size 56cm but a 54cm will also work, Shimano group set with a SLK crank if possible. I am using Qrings and would like to move it over. I have a very aggressive setup so would need a race geometry if possible.

Thanks

Maybe add your size to help narrow it down

Just a thought......

If it is purely about not losing out on training, might I suggest you join a gym that has a Wattbike or go to BicyclePower for a month. You will come out a stronger rider after the wait.

Will cost a few ronds, and might not be your favourite type of training, but see it as a training block and treat it as such. 4 weeks of focused training will help you achieve those aspirations a lot quicker than you think :)

If I didnt have a bike for a month, I would spend 4 days a week here https://www.bicyclepower.co.za/

Patch makes a fantastic point. I mean, its not quite in the realm of n+1 bikes...but you cant argue with the results people achieve in power based training blocks.

You bringing common sense around on a Friday.

Just lend him your Colnago and be done with it :P

Agree with Pure Savage. I live in Secunda so there is no proper gym not to mention a wattbike. I am already on a power based training program.

More chance of lending him a wife for a month :P

My Tarmac Pro SL4 54cm (the one you saw at jock) is currently on loan to a friend for similar reasons.

If he comes right and gives it back soon, you are welcome to use it.

I love Fridays and these types of threads on the bikehub :D
