As far as i know this is just solo entries. Just a normal race.

that's what I thought. however, every time I try to enter on the website it keeps telling me i need to link with another rider to complete entry. I have emailed the event organizer to find out.

I love how a increase from R180 to R350 (94%) is only "slight" in marketing speak  ^_^

But fair enough, entrants get extra stuff

for a water bottle? you can ride that route any day of the week from the same location, just pay your R40.00

You get a t-shirt as well, tbh I prefer it when they make stuff like that an optional purchase.

I think "some of the guys" are right, remember, anything ASG is always 25% too much

Hey, we have feelings too  :whistling:  ... seriously, did the ASG / Sanlam Invitational at Rhebokskloof this past weekend and covered some of the same terrain/climbs...I will confirm but 2,000 sounds right (sad to say for some)...should be good!!!!!!

Last Chance To Enter Paarl Mtb Classic

Entries for next weekend's bestmed paarl mtb classic close on sunday (15 november) or as soon as the entry cap of 1500 riders is reached. Just short of 400 entries are still available and are allocated on a first come first paid basis. Entries are open on www.asgevents.co.za.

woke up a bit late on this one and see no seeding for late entries :-( R350 is a lot of moola to spend to start at the back.

If you start in the last batch, just make sure you're in the front of it. Then at worst, you'll only have to pass less than 500 people to get into the female lead. Should be a piece of cake for you.

08h00: 60KM BATCH A (GREY 101 - 300)

08h05: 60KM BATCH B (APRICOT 301 - 500)

08h10: 60KM BATCH C (WHITE 501 - 800)

I was so excited to get my own personalized number board as well as my "Italian" made t-shirt but was sad to see them cut my board off at the end and also sad when I realized that my t-shirt's label said "Made In China".

Haha come on guys. Next time when you promote an event just keep to your promises.

Other than that it was an amazing event with an amazing route. Glad to receive my beer at the end.
Rhebokskloof will see me soon

Don't really care where the stuff is made, but they convince you to pay R350 for an entry by telling you how impresive the goodies is you are getting.

love the shirt btw.

I did the 30km and was really happy with the route. And the beer at the end. T-shirt has a nice design but I don't know how long the printing is going to last.

Totally understand,..I'd be PO'd too. Like I said in a previous thread before, anything ASG is always 33% more than its worth ????
