Frosty Posted October 1, 2015 Posted October 1, 2015 If they are awarded a spot on the World Tour, then Santos Tour Down Under (19/01 - 24/01)otherwise it's the PCT race or an invite to one of the UWT events. We should find out by November. pista 1

rock Posted October 1, 2015 Posted October 1, 2015 I haven't seen Gerald Ciolek's name any where? ja you're right.......wonder what hes up to?
T-Bob Posted October 1, 2015 Posted October 1, 2015 Ciolek, Goss and Stauff are all set to leave at the end of this season. All largely anonymous this year.

Wez-O Posted October 2, 2015 Posted October 2, 2015 They gonna win racesTrue, although looking at that list, I don't see many South Africans making the 2016 TdF starting nine.
Patchelicious Posted October 2, 2015 Posted October 2, 2015 I am sure they will include a few saffas, as they sort of have too. But these guys will be break away fodder. They will be going just to get into breaks and get exposure. The rest will save themselves and lead Chavendish out.
Wez-O Posted October 2, 2015 Posted October 2, 2015 Way to early to call and apparently there are more singings coming, but I'd say the strongest GC tour would be: Mark Cavendish Mark Renshaw Bernard Eisel Omar Fraile Edvald Boasson Hagen Steve Cummings Daniel Teklehaimanot Jacques Janse van Rensburg Reinardt Janse van Rensburg
T-Bob Posted October 2, 2015 Posted October 2, 2015 True, although looking at that list, I don't see many South Africans making the 2016 TdF starting nine. True, reckon they'll take 2 - 3 to the tour but if they are stepping up to WT level then there is a lot of racing from the Tour Down Under / San Luis all the way through to the autumn classics. That squad is going to get stretched and hammered nicely next year. Obviously the squad is going to be built around Cav for TdF but I wonder who is going to be the leaders for Giro and Vuelta. I would have thought it would have been MainCheese but he's gone. Fraile or someone else yet to sign? Wez-O and EmptyB 2

EmptyB Posted October 2, 2015 Posted October 2, 2015 True, although looking at that list, I don't see many South Africans making the 2016 TdF starting nine. Agreed, particularly in TDF but there will some. Curious to see what happens in the other grand tours....
