Superlight, the GT got a little plastic thing connecting the downtube to the rest of the back of the bike around the BB area, which breaks...all the time. Friend of mine ride with spare ones in his camebak.

 

Seems the carbon edition don't have the problem.

superlight superlight superlight! (ok, so the superlight is just sooo sexy!) hmmm, if you're gonna buy a meteore team to strip down just make sure you don't ride it first... you might need to keep it as is too... it's one stunning bike!

Can I ask how many guys have broken carbon frames as apposed to alloy? I

reckon it's roughly equal. I have had some huge dumps on my carbon MTB and

it's in perfect condition!

 

I must admit on my old alloy frame I t-boned a car at 40kph that turned across in

front of me and I'm not sure if a carbon frame would have survived that...

Are you 100% sure the carbon frame is fine? Remember there can easily be cracks on the inside of the frame or even in the resin that you cannot spot so easily.
