Any updates on this ???

Has it been approved yet?

Are we still set for December Silvermine Dam opening ??

Need safe places to ride urgently ! Pleeeeez.

Nothing yet on when the Greenbelt trails will be officially opened ....But the pedal power ass are actively involved with the projects initiation.

No confirmation on the Silvermine opening to Mtnbikers...With fires in Noordhoek,Ocean view  over the past 2 weeks and today on the Simonstown mountains...I really wouldn't be surprised if they delay it until next year winter.

Silvermine loop is now open...but still no access through or from Tokai mountainside.

You can head up Ou Wa Pad - did it yesterday,  it is still a *** climb! Pay your R65 at the hut and peddle the tar road up to the car park.

Can we access it from Lower Tokai? Where does it start?

Not sure of the extent of the approval, but yes. At the lower corner, where if you're riding clockwise there's a bridge on your left... you go over that bridge and then right. At the time junction, left. Then you'll see the path branching off on the rhs of the permanent pathway. That's the start of it from the tokai side. Not sure where that sign is above though.

I saw the sign (in your earlier post) yesterday afternoon - rolled down the single track next to the M3 to as far as Lower Tokai forest.

On my way back on the same single track, noticed a sign on the opposite side of the road - no cycling!

Only ride where we are allowed to ride

Any other off road route options in that area?
