Jaco-fiets Posted July 11, 2016 Posted July 11, 2016 As much as I like Jens (I do think he is a legend of the sport) he should rather not commentate. His voice sounds like someone trying to make a funny voice but doing a k@k job at it

Gen Posted July 11, 2016 Posted July 11, 2016 Well Giant's big announcement was a new sponsor.. Sunweb
Gen Posted July 11, 2016 Posted July 11, 2016 And Ciro isn't cooperating with me..he keeps on liking my tweets but doesn't give me the damn transfer scoop I am waiting for. Jissie And I know he is in the loop when it comes to transfers and he is very friendly with Lombardi.. so dammit Ciro.. give me the Sagan low down. I must Confess I love Ciro.. if any of you listen the the Telegraph cycling podcast you'll know why.. the passion he has for cycling is amazing and the love he has for Pozzato is kinda cute and yet disturbing lol. He is this tiny tiny little Italian lol.
Cav' Posted July 11, 2016 Posted July 11, 2016 Rest Day 1, Winners and Losers (from Velo)WinnersThe biggest winner is obviously Team Dimension Data. They won 4 stages, including 3 with a Cavendish most (including me) had written off. But Cavendish regained his speed and showed he still is the best in the world in unorganised sprints. Kittel is probably inherently faster than Cavendish, but the Manxman is just the best at positioning himself. The best sprinter of all-time.. Sky kept Froome out of trouble and got yellow with a spectacular stage win. However his traditional first week destruction of the field on the first uphill failed: he has so far been unable to drop Quintana or even Yates and Dan Martin. Giant Alpecin, An excellent stage win by Dumoulin after what was so far a difficult year for them. And perfectly timed too, with today supposed to be the announcement of the new Sunweb-Giant team for next year. Winning what could be considered the Queen stage is quite a way to announce a new sponsor.BMC, GVA did brilliantly, and Porte looks strong. Unfortunately it being Porte, he will certainly collapse at some point. But for now, let's enjoy him being good. Etixx, One stage win with Kittel, and Dan Martin absolutely killing it. They would have hoped for more sprinting success, but Martin looks almost a guarantee to get a stage win at some point. OGE, Not so much Orica as a whole as Yates. Man, what a talent. The string of British Tour winners looks assured to continue if Yates keeps developing like this. LosersTinkoff, OK they still have Kreuziger, Sagan won a stage and is on course for green, and Majka looks good for the polka dots, but losing Contador is a big blow. The team have been absolute shambles, falling apart completely. What once was the team with the best team spirit in the peloton under Riis is now a complete mess. Incredible what a few years under an insane Russian millionaire can do.Astana, Nibali couldn't win his stage Friday, but looked much stronger two days later. Aru, on the other hand, was lost and needed his teammate to drag him up the hill. Aru lost a minute to Froome and Quintana, but more than that this is an ominous sign for his chances of riding on to a Tour podium.FDJ, Poor Pinot. I like the man, but he did something wrong here. At least he can go for the polka dots and possibly a stage win though, but that is not what he had hoped for. Movistar, I know, being tough on them again. But Quintana seems to have the tactical nous of a lemming while as a whole their team is no match at all for Sky. Still, Quintana looks very strong and even relying just on bone-headed MTF attacks he could win this.
Dieter ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) Posted July 11, 2016 Posted July 11, 2016 Holy moly That tenth bottle was a bit grubby...
