I know how to get to MeerendalHoogekraal will probably be less congested. Drive past Meerendal (on the right hand side), over the rise and down the other side. When you get to the fourways stop at the bottom, hoogekraal is just over the intersection on the right.

Just a question: saw one of the international teams struggling at the bottom of stairway to heaven - his team mate rode to the top, went down and cycled his struggling's team mate up the hill while the suffering team mate walked up - not even on the trail. Is this allowed?
