Carbon MTB Frame Strengths

Hi

I broke my Carbon MTB frame, how do I know the  next frame is strong enough for me?

If it's a Santa Cruz, it will be....

How big are you?

I was going over an obstacle over a bridge near Broadacres / Lanseria, I crashed and the bike landed on the edge of the bridge. the cross bar and seatpost both cracked.

I have seen that video, it is what made me decide on Carbon.

I have been told since that my frame was a Fong Kong rip-off, but I am sure my curiosity is justified?

My question has changed suddenly, due to the cynical responses so far , is every make of carbon frame as strong as the next, or is their a weak make I must avoid and a strong make I should lean towards?

I am 6 ft 6 inches, or 1.97m and I weigh around 120kg. And I am fearless and trying hard to ride in the bush to lose weight.

Definatley a Santa Cruz for you - they are designed for BIG lads - got a couple of UK mates that are your size and have finally migrated to SC - they seem like they can't break them.... so far anyway - and they have tried...

where do i get Santa Cruz from?

well if you can't say the brand for sure then there is the problem, I am sure that a decent trail specific frame in carbon (Santa Cruz, Yeti, Specialized) will fit the bill. Also all too often a guy buys a bike intended for XC racing and goes trail riding with it - rides it and crashes it outside the design parameters and hey presto, broken frame...

Start with Mikes Bikes in Greenside - tell Mike that Guy sent you.

(I have no affiliation here - I don't ride an SC - but I do like them)

I bought the bike 2nd hand, no name on the frame. What is the difference between XC and Trail? Does my size match to the typical XC Racer? Your last statement is exactly why I am asking here, I don't know better. I am asking for help.
