Rush Sports not selling to the public

During recent months I have bought a considerable amount of items from Rush sports.

 

Recently I needed a carbon braided hose from them. My LBS ordered this from them as I cannot deal direct with them anymore. Well its been 6 weeks now and I am still looking for a hose. The LBS have stopped trying to even source one as Rush seems to be pretty useless.

 

I phoned rush and asked to speak to Andre van Aarde. Got told he will phone me back. Never got the call but I have noticed there's time to post pics on facebook.

 

Maybe it would be best for me to distance myself from formula brakes and go with shimano as it seems most people dont struggle their arses off to get something done.

 

I dont mind ordering through my LBS as we have a good relationship and I get everything for less than the big shop at the mountain sells stuff for but hells this is ridiculous.

Sorry to read your post on Bikehub. I received your message last week wednesday @ 3:29pm and promptly returned the call on the number provided: 072 ### ##61. I did not get through and did not receive a call back.

 

Looking at your location on Bikehub it appears you are based in Pretoria? If this is the case I would be interested to know who your LBS is that has ordered said spare part from us as I do not have any back-orders or outstanding orders in my system.

 

Perhaps send me an email and we can resolve this offline rather than turn this into a long thread?

Not disregarding your frustration, a quick search on Bike Hub many a happy customer with just about reporting GREAT service. I'm the guys at Rush will get you sorted in no time.

I know its been difficult since we closed our online store, but its been a good move for us, and in general we've IMPROVED our service delivery and certainly been able to focus more effectively on stock holding, communication, back-up support etc.

 

Rest assured, we'll get you sorted ASAP ;)

Personally I reckon importers get a really rough deal from crappy lbs'. Its far easier to play "blame the importer" than offer service and follow up.

 

The good lbs' I know have a great working relationship with their importers....

I have had a similar experience, much better service from shimano

 

2 weeks since its been sent to replace bushings and a bleed. Brakes were basically stuffed from the start when I got them and they denied warranty replacement.

 

Lets hope I do receive my brakes before the weekends #5 trailseeker.

I think that both parties need to pick up the slack, we're in a fast paced world these days and all of our expectations have been raised. We work daily with our customers [bike stores across SA] to try and ensure we're all giving customers the service they deserve. Its not always possible to get a "WOW!" experience, but this really is what is needed these days in a tough business environment to set yourself apart, and trust me when I say its something that we work on every single day.

I would like to thank Andre for helping me with the issue at hand. It seems there was a major communication gap between parties.

 

Andre phoned me and we sorted in out with one phone call.

Andre, while you here... You wouldn't happen to have some I9 spokes lying around for a 26 inch wheel would you? I'll take any colour tbh, although mine are red.
