I've tried to source Enduro Max bearings from three bicycle shops in Durban. Regrettably not one of the three have come back to me with a price nor availability. I will be trying the fourth tomorrow.

It would have been much easier if I could have just ordered what I need online.

Tony, out of interest sake which stores did you try, because every store that I can think of in DBN actively stocks and promotes the Enduro bearings in their workshop?

Andre, while you here... You wouldn't happen to have some I9 spokes lying around for a 26 inch wheel would you? I'll take any colour tbh, although mine are red.

 

Got one or two... would need length though, end-to-end. No easy way to get this I'm afraid, need to pull a spoke out and measure. Front wheel uses same length in both drive and non-drive which is also the same as rear non-drive. Rear drive should be 2mm shorter.

Do you stock any Enduro branded seal kits for manitou and marzocchi suspension locally? Or is it something you would have to import specifically since its not in high demand here? I've had a brow or two raised at me before for suggesting to local bike shops that it possibly be ordered from you.

I can think of several shops in the WC who purchase these from us all the time, especially the Marz seals. Andrew from Stoke is the first that comes to mind... surprised he hasn't chimed in

This thread worries me a bit. Here we have a wholesaler who is clearly well stocked, well organised and keen for business - but the end customer is frustrated.

 

I too have experienced several runarounds from more than one LBS when looking for a part that I know is available in SA but the LBS just couldn't be bothered.

 

The business model needs to shift. I get that wholesalers don't deal direct at wholesale prices but in the modern world we have the interwebs and EFT so when the LBS couldn't be bothered there needs to be another channel.....

As far as I can see it, a sale is a sale. Whether it comes from a lbs or a private individual who cares? It's money in the bank.

I'm not saying suppliers need to sell us stuff at wholesale prices, but if there is someone who wants something and is willing to pay the price you are asking then why not???
