cat-i Posted October 27, 2015 Share Looking to get some protective gear. But what do the ladies wear? Anyone with recommendations on a brand that you found comfortable? And maybe a link on where you bought it from? Edit: and with 'ladies' I don't mean 'pink' , but rather something that fits. Comfortably.
hayleyearth Posted October 27, 2015 Share What parts are you looking to protect? (not a weird question, might just sound that way)... But like shoulders? Ribs? Chest? Elbows? Knees? Shins?

I was hoping you would respond Back, chest, elbows, kidneys.Something that would work for MX (if possible) but that can double-function on cycling if I need to. Proper downhill is what I'm looking for.
nigelhicks Posted October 27, 2015 Share For Trail:The wife uses these - http://images.evanscycles.com/product_image/image/447/6fc/b60/127988/fox-clothing-launch-enduro-knee-pad.jpghttp://shop.foxhead.com/store/products/Downhill-/detail/Launch-Enduro-Knee-Pad/61880/cat890004?defaultColor=006&categoryNavIds=cat20008%3Acat20134%3Acat20152 you can get them through Fox SA, (if they have stock!) ... and are good for normal trail riding. Their elbow guards are good too i believe - but Jo doesnt use elbow guards.Be careful with elbow guards as they can often slide down your arm as you ride .. the 661 ones do that .... Jo does have a chest plate from Fox that she uses for DH - but this is a hard-shell pull over chest and back plate ... so you wont need this for anything other than DH. .... EDIT Ok so I see you want back and chst protection that can also be used for MX .... Otherwise check out ... http://www.btosports.com/ http://www.btosports.com/c/womes-protective-gear

Hahaha....I am actually the worst person to ask, because I only wear the bare minimum (helmet, LF gloves and knee guards), but I can refer you to people you can ask (PM maybe if they dont get to this thread)...Nige would have been one, glad he came to comment... The also ask KathF and PYGASAURUS, his GF (Tamryn) also rides with nice protection I have noticed. These are terrible though, stay away: http://singletrackworld.com/forum/topic/fs-race-face-rally-dh-armour-shin-and-elbow-pads

And it works great with the Leatt neck brace. Contact her at Dirt Merchant 011 326 4737. (You can try hers to see if it fits.)
