HowardSteele Posted October 27, 2015 Posted October 27, 2015 In a pinch u can use the cover bit on a pop rivet you just knock out the pin ...but your local bike shop will give you one for free most of the time.
DJR Posted October 27, 2015 Posted October 27, 2015 Once on a "night before the race" bit of emergency repair work, I have used epoxy to glue the tips of a cable together. It lasted surprisingly well.
Pah Bear Posted October 27, 2015 Posted October 27, 2015 Soldering! Ja right. Warmed up my soldering iron all ready for the "old school" method and WHAM could not find the solder. Being late in the evening I was suitably frustrated. Eish. But yes, alternative is easy as I buy the cables from my LBS and they give me the end caps pasella.
