Windblown, in another paper a few things were said that warmed me up a little ..

 

the unions and workers at the port will refuse to offload the weapons. transport ppl will also refuse to transport them ... cape times i think

According to recent news reports the transport unions are refusing to offload or convey the shipment. There are also urgent legal initiatives afoot to prevent the conveyance over SA soil.....lets see what happens.

Legally speaking the SA Govt can't stop the weapons being transfered through the country as long as legislation and international protocals have been complied with. To do otherwise could result in the SA Govt being sued or chucked out of the UN,etc (might not be a bad idea on current form!).

 

I agree though that morally speaking it is a completely different matter ...
