very strange. By all accounts, it's an amazing fork. Those symptoms pretty much describe what the old CTD was famous for.

yea at least now with the long wkd, will get some more time to play around with the settings. Has been suggested to put a 2nd token in .

It's disappointing as only read good stuff about the fork. Maybe I got a dud. I mean out the box it had issues .

Very Sorry I bought the fork.

I think you may have a damaged compression circuit. Ask omnico to replace the cartridge under warranty. Since it wouldn't give you full travel out the box this should have been done immediately. Likely a jammed or sticking valve.

It went back to the shop and they communicated with omnico, and were advised what to do.

Then I got the fork back.

Shops often don't describe the problem well in my experience. Few seem to believe that the rider is capable of feeling when something's wrong. Chat to Russell at omnico in Cape Town. He's at epic this week I believe but if you chat directly to him without middleman you'll get a better result. The shop just needs to send it back to them for the work to be done.

i agree 100% with you in regards to shops thinking we can't feel when there's something amiss .

The shop I bought it from has been brilliant. Immediately shipped back to them (Kzn) at there own expense . They have been honest and upfront ,but that doesn't mean there still isn't an issue with that particular fork.

I have this wkd to get a few back to back rides in and make a conclusive decision .

I thought at first that is was because I was used to the mrp stage, which is super plush.

But now know that it's not that. My technical knowledge is not great, but I can set up a fork and am a very front end biased rider.

Here's hoping ,although I do doubt it .

dude i am now gonna insist on a new cartridge or what ever the problem is. Did a decent ride today and at one point on a corrugated section swapped bikes with my mate. And instantly felt the difference on how plush his fork was. A suntour on a standard mongoose hardtail.

His fork didn't make my hands numb and soaked up the bumps. As soon as I got back on my bike,I could instantly feel the harshness.

Fork has to get sorted out now. Am a bit pissed about the whole thing actually. Now i am going to have to wait until fox decide my fate.

At this point I hate the fit 4.

So my fork is now with the fox technicians, sigh. Was collected last week, and have been informed that will only get feed back next week as they are back logged.

Back logged with what all the new fit 4 dampers?

Has anyone else had issues with the new fit 4? As I am not really a fox fan( but decided this new fit 4 could be the one) am even more miff that I layed out all that dosh on my new fox fit 4 rigid.

Seriously hoping I don't get a long story...

Haven't heard the best reliability stories about omnico, but never had any dealings with them myself. So time will tell.

Am well pissed about the fork though considering it's been back once already.

But will reserve judgment for now.

If the fork's been back more than once it'll be with Russel now, and he's probably the best suspension techie in the country. I'm pretty sure he'll sort it out.

As for the backlog - post-Epic servicing is probably what's keeping them busy. Them power washers generate plenty of work for us, I can only imagine what he's dealing with his side.

Shot for the info. At least not in the dark now, well kinda.

My frustration is I just want to ride my newly built bike with my new fork and I can't.

Will see if I get an answer this week as promised.

Looking to get the FIT4 damper installed to my 2015 FOX Evolution CTD.  Anyplace in Cape Town I can do this except Omnico?  Omnico's pricing is a bit hectic, R4 400 just for the damper.

I have been in contact with Cogent Industries and they can do it for me through Omnico for a lot cheaper.  Any other dealers or shops that can it do for cheap?

Afaik Droo from Stoke can do it, the bonus with going with Stoke is that you know it will be done properly and they wont rip you off.
