I'm so excited, can't wait to go fetch my number because then I get to see what's in my goodie bag. I'm commuting so I hope my goodie bag can fit into my backpack!

Lol. Enjoy your board and cable ties. Nothing else in there mate.

So hopefully this spot of rain will dampen the dust without causing too much mud

Doesn't look like it's predicted to rain very much at all. Even if it rains pretty good today, it is so dry at the moment its sure to be pretty dry tomorrow anyway. By Sunday it's going to look like the Sahara again.

All that info is on their web page.

Can only do you good to familiarise yourself with the route, etc.

Can't see the total elevation gain but Id guess in the region of 1200m or so, perhaps more

I wanted a goodie bag too, just to complain about the contents, no other reason really... On a more serious note, I'm sweeping the 30km tomorrow. Usually I get a few chain links and a tube or 2 for just in case. Please carry your own spares as I sure as hell would not have your specific hanger in my Camelbak and after the first 2 punctures I am out of spare tubes too. I supply rehidrat and some energy bars for the stragglers out of my own pocket.

Enjoy ladies and gents!

Ag, for the most part I think goody bags are over rated anyway. Of the numerous races I've done, maybe five gave me a goody bag worth remembering. I think I've tried enough mysterious goos, trail phase cooldrinks, and cerial testers for one lifetime. If you want the worlds best goody bag for the price, enter the Buffet Olives MTB race in Paarl.

I thought the Free Beer and Boerie Roll and Branded Beer Glass were quite novel at the Darling Brew Bonecrusher event last year, all for less than R200 entry ...

The goodies/freebies should be dictated by the quality of the sponsor and not the entry fee. I too am surprised at the lack of freebies for the Argus MTB.
