Think so too. They must just come and train here in the lowveld sun for a couple of weeks. This Place will make them HTFU in the heat..

Yup. . But seeing as they came here to feel it out and experience their first epic..and maybe a stage win, they obviously felt no need to actually get used to the heat first..

Maybe next year they will.. (I really hope they will be back.. and a lot of of other top women.)

Agree, we need some new faces and some new exciting racing. And the Highlights must be a little bit longer focusing on the back markers as well. Not just the Celebs,

Yes yes yes.. to all.. it's just a pity that the Epic really interrupts their xco prep.. it would be better if the first xco race was in maritzburg again..????. That way they can just stay on her like they used to in the past

I thought the final stage would be business as usual but was pleasantly surprised. Both mens and women's were enjoyable. What a ride young Yana had. I feared when they caught Team Spur and she accelerated past them Sabine would not be be able to follow.  A 22 and 44 year old, what a combination.

Congrats to Team Bulls and Team Spur on their GC win.

Tough final stage, plenty climbing (not 1200m but more like 1600m) including steep stuff near the end. Wind was hurting us on the dirt road sections. What an amazing adventure. Will I do it again? Ask me next month, right now the answer is no. Definitely the toughest event I've done.
