It takes all sorts; of course, don't like Mike, you don't have to watch him. Although, I still force myself to occasionally read the trite rubbish coming out of the deluded leftists like Bradbury and co.

I don't watch him, thanks. Actually I don't watch any TV, its not good for my blood pressure. I do quite enjoy Jeremy Wells' "Like Mike" on Radio Hauraki though.

Bradbury is a nutcase too. Has many valid points, but seems to want to pick a fight with everyone, including so-called allies. And then mixes in some completely ludicrous thoughts just in case one starts to like him.

On that note, and for all on here too, check this out:

I'm doing the 160; have started it twice in the past, and finished it only the one time (the second time there was a 'weather bomb' so I bailed after the MTB stage - didn't want to ride 100km in a torrential downpour + gale force wind...go on, call me soft).

Come join, that way you can check out the Eastern BoP for yourselves ;-).

Some of the okes at work has told me about this....I think I am going to look into it!

EDIT: why oh WHY would they let the MTB leg be the climb leg and the road leg be the DH leg...

It seems like the ritual at work has become trails ride after work on a Wednesdays and beers after work on Fridays....which is a good and a bad to NZ....flip ONE beer is like $9.50

Ha ha expensive beer does sort of reduce consumption but only if you are middle class or rich. Doesn't seem to slow down the poor by any measurable amount.

I like this Kiwi.

Next year they should send Sonny Bill Williams and sort out all the spectators.

"New Zealander George Bennett collides with roadside spectator on final climb during stage nine of Tour de France

A roadside spectator appeared to step out in front of Bennett as he was riding up the final Arcalis climb and rounding a corner.

Bennett attempted to swerve around the spectator, but instead engaged them with his shoulder, causing them to fall to the ground."

it was brilliant to watch. Bennett dropped his shoulder and the slob went down Ronaldo in the box and stayed down for the count.
