Cost for a drunk driving docket to go missing in Benoni is currently R4k.

Why?

The blood labs are in such a mess that case will likely be withdrawn[emoji15][emoji15]

Opportunity cost...pay a once-off to a corrupt cop or a lawyer for how many lawyer appearances until a magistrate tires of waiting for the results, I guess..

Technically they have not done anything criminal, there is no proof they actually did drive drunk (although we know they did). Just thinking in terms of our law system they will probably walk free, except for maybe lose there jobs and looking like idiots nothing else will happen to them.

Even that does not seem to have happened (at least not yet).

I happened to be in the Sheriff's shop this afternoon and we were discussing this - apparently the company is not willing to say anything at the moment about what is happening to them.

If it was my company, I'd have distanced myself from these individuals in a hurry and made that very public knowledge.

SA version of The Hangover........Babbelasbeurt.

Just require some tattoos, definitely a chicken......and leave them in some compromising position.....maybe with the use of some Superglue........priceless

Seems like they may of had a little more than just booze to be that state.

Perhaps the parents own private properties so they will be back at work ready for the next round.

Rather don't cycle so early as our cities are littered with intoxicated people or people sending text messages whilst driving.Just ride a motorcycle through traffic and you'll realise things are really bad.

A statement to say it was "unfortunate" would be the only thing one can expect of the company right now. It could be complicated. How does the PP structure work? Is it a franchise? To what extent are they employed to PP itself? What are the terms of their employment? Who knows, maybe they had been to a work-related function, and that could have implications?

Main Road in Benoni is one of the worst on the weekend mornings. Kids pouring out of the Keg and Cool Runnings as the cyclists are heading out.

Really sad that such young men with a bright future deem it necessary to drink so much to bring shame to themselves. Life is much more than getting sloshed out of your mind. Hope that this incident will help them to take a fresh look at their life's and that they will make positive changes

Bright future? LOL
