That it is...

Eish. Saw your headshot as well...

Looked like you took a proper knock to the head! Glad you're okay though. Any permanent damage, and why the week long stay?

BTW - my assessment - you need wider rims and better tyres. ESPECIALLY in those dry dusty conditions. Those Barzo's just won't hack it.

Or some wide lightnings, and a better front tyre.

Seriously.... It won't stop all the crashing, but it'll go a long way to improve your chances of saving the front end...

oh no !! are you ok?

Sort of.

Neck vertabrae 4-6 injured. Pinching nerves causing my left arm and hand to be numb and the most excruciating pains going down my shoulder and arm.

Must be off bike till it heals properly, 2 x physio sessions per day till that happens.

So there goes my Attakwas. Praying that the J2C does not follow suit.

Luckily nothing can go wrong with the head, no brains there in any case. :whistling:  :whistling:

Took so long for orthopedic surgeon to decide it is not arm or shoulder related. Only got to see him on Monday after he "forgot" about me due to his workload. He then passed me on to a Neurosurgeon that is extremely busy and could only see me between his operations. Also struggled to get appointment for MRI.

All in all, a smal cluster ..ck.  :cursing:

At least I now know what's wrong and what the recourse is.

That's BS, mate. Not cool...

And yeah. Tyres. Seriously.

Worst of all is that it was my first ride after redoing my bike setup in an attempt to sort out the cramping I experienced on the Mtb.

Guess it will take more than as setup to get it sorted now.

It was not the tyres fault. I took a wrong line in an off camber turn and landed up in an erosion ditch. After that I went flying over the handlebar and either through, or over a row of vines. Can't remember which, it happened so fast, I was just a passenger.

Eishhhhh bru!

Don't lose hope though! You remember my big get off 3 years ago! It feels like you can't get away from the thought of why you are putting yourself through all of this, but it passes and you find a way to heal up and get strong again and you learn from the experience, get back on the bike and keep pushing in a way the works better for you to improve and continue improving! It's just the way our @ss likes the seat of a bike that will eventually trump whatever thoughts feel like they are in control and self preserving for now!

Heal up buddy! Would be rad to see you but if you need more recovery do the right thing!

Cool

Btw... you'd still benefit from wider rims. And judging by the front wheel resembling a taco, you need a new front rim. Perfect opportunity to do the upgrade.

Seriously. The effect it has on both grip and rolling resistance is MASSIVE. Even with your weenie-tyres :)

Wish I could afford a set of Wide Lightnings. :whistling:
