I have a 26" Epic (aluminium, not carbon) and it's still going strong.Our HR director swears by his Vipa though. Be warned, you're about to get 9 million responses from all the people who hate Specialized.

As I have always been a Momsen fan, but last week my girlfriend bought me a Specialized Epic Comp Carbon...and one for herself...yes she is something special. So just wanted to know what the hubbers thought.

Seriously though - at that price difference, I'd go for the Comp Carbon and slap a set of better rims on there and upgrade the fork's internals (if Fox) to the 2016 FIT4 cartridge.
