Dgas Posted December 10, 2015 Posted December 10, 2015 Just called the CTCT, apparently the link will not work if you are using a Apple browser like Safari, only works if you are accessing the website through Google.So I asked them what they would like me to do if I use a Apple laptop. (Keep in mind that mine is the latest 25k laptop, so its definitely not outdated technology.) Their answer is, can't I use another laptop that has Google, when I suggested that I go and buy one and bill them for the purchase,so that I can fill in their form, the asked if I don't have friend whose PC/ laptop I can use. For f**k's sake.Apparently there will be consequences if you don't fill in the form. When I eventually fill this in (and only because I already paid for my flights) I will do as others below have said, fill in as "accurately " as possible.

Up to now I have probably wasted 2 hours of my time just trying to get into the questionnaire and I have still not even seen it.How I regret entering this event and most of all paying for flights etc. now. Yesterday I entered the Ironman 70.3 in Durban. No stupid questionnaires, had to fill in some stuff but a few minutes later I was entered. Had a question, called the registration office, they emailed me back in a few minutes. Pleasure to deal with. I would imagine that the Ironman has few more medical challenges that a 107km ride and behold no medical questionnaire.

More people have died doing the Cycle Tour than Iron man. *Stat was thumb sucked. I would be bleak about the time wasted on filling out the form though.

None of this politically correct procedures, demands, threats, self-imposed god-like managenent etc. Back then the only and T and C was ; Keep left, pass right and "F... you...A...hole" was also common lingo if you didn't conform to the only T and C. How I miss the good old days. Seems the only difference between the God and CTCT management is that God does not walk down Adderly street thinking He is CTCT Management.

The thing is, I am coming from JHB, it is going to cost me around 25k plus to ride this event. (flights for me and wife, accommodation, car hire, eating out, bike transport, etc.) The last thing that I feel like is when I go and collect my race pack, is being told, "sorry you can't ride, you did not fill in the medical questionnaire". I will rather fill the thing in, with answers that have nothing to do with me. The other option is to cut my losses now and cancel flights, accommodation, etc. At this point I will probably get a good percentage of my money back. So walk off with a 5k loss rather than spend 25k to not ride the race. Seriously considering this. As per my previous posts I cannot actually link to the questionnaire.
