Keep some "fuel" for the last 15km on day 1..there is a horrible little climb after the last water table..but once thats behind you..you can smell home.  Im suffering from major FOMO.

Woo hoo so flippen excited! Going to be my first stage race, thought I had to get one under the belt before the big dog next year.

Only heard great things about this event.

We'll be in B batch for the Descent - riding with my pops who's 3 months shy of 70 - look out for us (both on black and yellow Scalpels) and try not let him beat you!

Can't bloody wait! (the free beer won't hurt either)

We usually do it ..but this year managed to secure a Wines2Whales entry so unfortunately cant afford both, but we'll be back there next year.  We also do the Oxpecker trail run which is the routes of the 2 day event...fantastic! Awesome people so you will have the best time.

How or where did you guys get your batch notifications? Haven't seen or heard a peep...

Phone SA Seeding (number below) - they can sort you out...or at Windmill Farm registration they can also say what batch you will start.

I heard that there is no Medal at the end of B&B - is this correct??

This was indeed the case when I did it in 2014 - yes! But the awesome trails we get to ride & the memories that go with it more than makes up for it!!!  :w00t:

From what I've seen on video's and pictures I hear what you are saying   will be a privilege to ride there and memories will indeed be made   a small token of some sorts would have been nice to hang next to the rest of the memory makers...LOL

Yeah. I have a box of a couple of hundred medals from my racing days which mean nothing to me. I eventually stopped collecting them at the end of races.

The event vibe with goodie bag apparel is more than good enough for me.
