Is this just for 1 x 11?

Or will it work with 2x11 as well?

I'm worried about the length of chain and whether my X0 2012 rear derailleur will function with it.

It's my XC bike with 42-28 chainrings, just want a bit more granny but do not want to lose the top end..

I fitted mine last week. Everything worked fine until I dropper the X0 shifter.

Bang went the springs and all internals.

The X0 has one extra spring the X9 does not have.

The last coils spring did not go back as it should but the whole system works fine.

Ordered another set of wheels and 11spd cassette from Rapide for heavy weather tyres. (Onza Canis)

I'm very happy with this setup.

Well done Wayne.

Hi Wannabe,

Sorry about the instructions, I was supposed to put them in the box.

Hi Cpelser,

2 x 11 will work just fine - even 3 x 11 But you may need a an extra link or two in the chain to accommodate the 42t cog.

my concern is, with all the intentional exposure, by the time i can afford it will be all sold out!

Hi Meezo,

We are getting more ratchets machined up so we should be o.k.

So you are seriously saying I can run 2x11.... I have never been more impressed in my life! And never been happier to be running SRAM!

Will be ordering the kit soon as I have the cash! Gonna enjoy my AM bike with a 2x11 setup!

I can't find the upgrade kit on the website anymore, is there just no stock or has it been removed from your range?

Hi Mada3400,

We are out of stock of the 11 speed ratchets but we have more being made at the moment. We should have the kit available again soon.

NotSoBigBen, have you been riding your Kiwi special 1x11?

I want to know how it functions, any snags or hiccups, and if any, what you did to resolve it.

I'm still trying to source a crankset that will work (current chainring is 120BCD, no NW to work on it) before I can complete my conversion.

Already got the cassette mounted, (currently using my spare wheel with 2x10)
