and we wonder why motorists hate cyclists, because we are own worst enemy at times.

that was meant in jest. Ride whatever you want I don't care. I choose to ride Amish but that's my choice. 

I agree with "don't be a ****, be lekker." - next time these e-bicyclists (better?) can politely ask to make way instead of charging straight through the middle of a group of riders ahead of them on a single track trail.

Some Cyclist really give everyone else a bad name. I witnessed yesterday a group of 4 abreast around fish hoek doing just this, I even shouted single file as there was a q of cars and I wanted to cars to pass me quickly, but these guys looked, and then proceeded to impede everyone. You find it around Cape Town and I am sure other parts of South Africa as well. Only way around it is if traffic services steps in and start issuing fines.

I am surprised that you weren't answered with a barrage of swear words and zap signs. That is the usual response in those situations.

Hard to say, I was concentrating on not getting side swiped by the truck next to me
