  • Federations do not test riders;
  • SAIDS tested Sharon Laws a few times, at her adopted home in Stellenbosch, unannounced, etc, as per Adams programme, i.e. WADA sent them;
  • That's one example I know of, as her landlord chased them away at first, not knowing who, what, why, and then let them in gracefully once figured out.

Do we need to start the debate again regarding international pro's training in SA and not being tested by their own Federations?

Pretty sure I saw Chris yesterday, in full time trial garb, with support vehicle in tow heading down from Maropeng towards Magalies.

I was a bit slow in clarifying this as my initial thoughts were "that car is going to take that oke out!". Sign of the times, I suppose.....

Chris went past me in the Cradle once. Just as I was thinking "nice bike, and that guy in full kit really looks like Chris Froome" the support car, a Jag at the time, also in full kit went past too. I managed to catch him and ride with him for a minute - just long enough to say hi really, then he was gone.

Was also cruising at Sugabush on Saturday.  Saw a glimpse of Chris when he came past.  Fortunately he did not lap us on the second lap.  Or take any KOMs on a secret Strava account.  ^_^

Well yesterday, I (think I) went past him at about 60 kph on an uphill.......that's right, he was going downhill! ;-)

Weird how slow your (my?) brain works....."look out oke!"....."must be a triathlete"......."great TT position"........"Sky kit?"......."Doh!" And as he went past I heard myself grunt out "Frroommiiiee!"

I didn't realise I was such a fan-boy...... :blush:

My son and his friends saw him yesterday morning in the cradle, they were very chuffed when they saw him. One his friends managed to caught up with him to have a quick chat.
