Am I reading correctly that we have to collect numbers at the venue before raceday??

Long trip - what do the out of towner's do?

Even if you're in Jhb, it's still quite a drive. And the collection times are incredibly stupid as well.

Will have to see whether I can get someone to go collect on my behalf.

It's certainly going to be a pain going out there twice in the space of a few days.

Arrrggghhh race collection drama again! I saw that some people had hand written race numbers at Berge en Dale, was it an issue for anyone? No ways I'll be able to collect during those times. Thinking maybe that is an option.

For once the collection is close for me( presuming it's still at emperor's?) working right across the road I can walk there during lunch time. Usually I have to organise someone to trek out to flipping fourways to collect. #hatenumbercollection.

I just printed my number and pasted over my previous year's number for Berge en Dale. You could just use plain paper, but pasting over an old number makes it stronger. Didn't have any issues.

That's a good idea. I wonder if it would work in the vets category as they fairly regularly walk through our start group checking. I got an uit k@k on the start line of fast one because I had slightly folded my number. Lol and then later on the whole group got DQd for crossing the white line.

So I must start keeping my numbers. I usually just chuck them.

Are the race numbers and starting groups available yet? Have been unable to find any info online.

Did we get DQ at Fast One?

Not sure on the slowest long group time, last year the last rider finished in 5h25.

The new route will be faster as it takes out the hills in Heidelberg and Duduza - it's a quick run around the block, back in time for tea and medals.
