Quick and easy registration, nothing great in the goodie bag, usual nonsense.

Sounds like an encyclopedia of Flyers again? Can't remember ever reading any of them. Going there at 3pm.

Another thing out of towners should remember. Parking is FREE at Suncoast if you arrive before 8 am with a bicycle hitched on the back of the car or if you can show you have one inside your vehicle. Don't fall the R40 fee at the swimming pool or that area next to it.

I am going to take a drive along the route tomorrow...but a warning about the gap between the concrete left hand lane and the middle tar lane...in the moseley park area after the Northdene on ramp...unless you can bunny hop...it will become and unpleasant experience.

Took a drive along the route...

M7 ...stay alert

Once through pinetown...the M19 has a short section which has not been resurfaced yet...

At the bottom of the hill on the left corner there was rubble in the left lane...hopefully they will clear it by the morning...there are no lines yet but there are red cat eyes in the middle of the road...you dont want to hit them...as you go under the N2 ...looks like they burnt tyres on the road so just be carefull in the right lane

Once on the M4 the road is good condition

Hope you have a good ride...enjoy

So how did everyone's race go?

I applied to race Ladies licensed but when I picked up my race pack I was put in BL.  I never bothered to ask to have it changed.  I rode with some really great chaps.

I  had a crash on the final corner just before the finish.  Thank you to the guys that stopped to check I was okay and that came to chat afterwards.  I was the blonde in the enve kit on the red and black merida.

Thank you guys,  you are all top class and embody the spirit of our sport.

Maybe it is because mostly local cyclists took part in this one that there is no post race bitching and moaning and accusing and slanting and bad-mouthing the race organisers. Seems everyone had a blast with that tailwind home.I went out to enjoy it. No PB's were on my agenda. 3:08 is good enough for a Sunday outing. Thanks to the organisers. The usual blissful ride in the knowledge that our entry fee is for full road closure. What a pleasure. To that bloke from ECCC on the white Merida who had nice things to say about my Reacto, (pre-race). Thanks, hope you enjoy yours as much as I enjoy mine.

Nothing to complain about, everything was great, no issues with cars, cops n marshalls did a fantastic job and everything just ran smoothly.

That would have been Daryl- Dazshel on the forum on white Merida.
