Let's see if Gasant Abarder has the cojones to splash the true story of Franziska's ordeal across the front page of tomorrow's CT.

And just a tip to the intellectually challenged and overly politically correct hack editors out there:

Franziska was not allegedly murdered.

Neither was she allegedly raped or sodomised.

And sure as hell she wasn't allegedly beaten and robbed.

These are the facts of the case and they are undisputed.

The ANC are running scared, I see this every time one of their senior people makes a statement.

Their self-serving greed, indifference, corruption, general ignorance, megalomania and incompetence have finally caught up with them.

I think you been too kind.

Admirable idea for sure...

...but then you'll get criticism from certain corners about profiting from others' grief.

You know what Tumbles, **** 'em. The critics are the very people who wouldn't do it out of fear of being criticised. The other corner would hail the person who brings the truth to light a hero.

They say the head that rises above the rest becomes the target. Try warning this guy of that fact and he'll tell you to f&ck right off back to mommy.

"The Times hired Chivers at age thirty-four in 1999 to cover war. That was the handshake, he says. A former Marine officer, he might know how to handle himself in a war zone, the paper figured. What the Times could not have known was that Chivers would develop a brand of journalism unique in the world for, among other things, its study of the weapons we use to kill one another. After reporting on a firefight—whether he was in Iraq, Afghanistan, South Ossetia, Libya, or Syria—he'd look for shell casings and ordnance fragments. If he was embedded with American soldiers or Marines, he'd ask them if he could look through what they had found for an hour or so—"finger f*cking," he'd call it—and ask his photographer to take pictures of ammunition stamps and serial numbers. Over time and in this way he would reveal a vast world of small-arms trade and secret trafficking that no other journalist had known existed before.

I wouldn't be worried about what the critics say. Point is, the media never gets it right. We don't cover the right stories, don't cover them right or give them right prominence. Like I said, it is indeed an good project. Imagine a newspaper putting as much effort into something like that as it does to get the pics of matrics with distinctions every year...The world and the media that reflects it are odd.

Haha! Thanks, bud. Yeah, hopefully the people I may end up formalising stuff with soon could be making a bit of noise soon. My owner of my previous place and some of his people...I am without words about what is happening there...

Don't worry Deon, 'trouble maker' is my middle name - someone has to smash those eggs before the omelette eventually gets made  :nuke:

3 Wings,

I just read the IOL website and it is covered in there. The article centered around the fact that the accused's dad was a warder at Pollsmoor. Can't remember seeing the word "allegedly". got to admit, even I was surprised.

Why is safety such a concern for this guy? He did not care about a little girl's safety. You are a big and strong man, hopefully you get a chance to be raped.

thats unlikely and as you say impossible....but how about some investigative journalism....

what I would like to see is a double page centre spread in the sunday times on the last sunday of one month that has a picture of every single person killed in the country due to crime...that makes people aware of the enormity of the situation

then another month...like just after easter....a picture for every single person killed on the road

road accident death numbers, or stats on murder victims are easily glossed over..but a visual representation will do so much more

go for it tumbles...you will probably win an award if you do that

Something like in the late 70's early 80's when they had all the names of the fallen SA soldiers on TV, I can clearly remember that as if it was yesterday.
