casci Posted April 29, 2008 Share Not that i have a problem, with the shop in anyway but, Just popped in at Cycle Lab Fourways during lunch ......, as i am leaving the country i need a cardboard bike box to pack my bike, not a problem i thought, so i ask for one,.....no problem sir we do have one for you, that will be R95!!!! Gees, you import bikes in those,why the hell, would you charge a customer to take the cardboard box off you?!!!!Not right dude, just not right!!! Did you ask for bike box for packing your bike properly to out on the plane? or did you ask them for a used bike box that had been chucked in their rubbish bin? most probably damaged with holes in it? Sounds to me like you dont value your bike....R95 to get the a fresh new undamaged box or Gratis / free broken box....Maybe you should habe gone to Fruit and Veg and got a banana box! I dunno where you get your info from but I ahve used many used bike boxes to transport my bikes it. they have all been without holes. all you need to do is take the metal clippings at the top out that were used to close the box and you are done.the boxes the bike stores get their bikes in are usually undamaged. if it's badly damaged you take a different one of course. Why most probably broken, if it was broken i wouldnt use it duh!
