Guest notmyname Posted March 13, 2016 Share My wife and my bike for the 1st Eroica in South Africa. We can't wait, its going to be a weekend to remember seeing many friends from all over the country. My wife's Zini Reynolds 501 tubing with Shimano 600 groupset. Some old 6200 and newer tricolour parts. Brooks B17 in honey, for my honey! My Alpina Columbus SLX with Dura-Ace groupset. Various DA series from 1st gen levers and callipers and newer 8spd derailleurs. Unfortunately my old Brooks has seen better days and will not last the Eroica so I really, really need a new Brooks saddle please!Pretty. Local is so lekker! dimsum Posted March 14, 2016 Share I have an old 80s Le Jeune in mint condition which I would like to ride Eroica with. She has full Shimano 105 groupset and has such a beautiful look. Previous owner put on a yellow Sella Italia saddle (which looks alright) but a Brooks would just complete the look of this beauty. So this is my entry J∆kk∆ls, Eppie, shaper and 1 other
Singletrack Sarah Posted March 15, 2016 Share I will be riding Le Eroica South Africa on my Le Jeune. As you can see I have ridden many happy kilometers on it, but still not 100% sorted with regards to saddle comfort (can you spot 3 of the different saddles I have tried?). Maybe the #eroicabrooks337 will sort that out... (I will be taking it in to my bike shop soon to get 100% Eroica ready in case you are wondering). Rolfalps Posted March 15, 2016 Share A Classic Bicycle Needs a Classic Saddle !This South African built 80s Peugeot Classique hadn't been loved for a long time but that's about to change. A light but durable Tange steel frame with enough clearance to mount some bigger tyres makes this an ideal frame for L'Eroica. This Classique has a typical 80s mix of components . Bullet proof Mavic open 4 CD rims are laced to a set of Suntour Superbe Pro hubs. Suntour Cyclone derailleurs and shifters matched to a Stronglight chainset makes up the drivetrain. Lightweight CLB calipers will take care of the braking but need to be matched to some as yet unfound brake levers. These are to be mounted on a classic combination of Nitto bars and stem. A fine Brooks saddle for all day comfort , would be the crowning jewel to make this Classique feel loved again ! Eppie
Eppie Posted March 17, 2016 Share So here is my Erioca bike. It is a "Peugeot Vitus". According to the previous owner the bike was built up by Chris Willemse in the early 80's. I got the bike pretty much complete with all the period correct components right from the downtube shifters to the old school water bottle. Unfortunately the hub on the front wheel is broken and needs to be replaced. Apart from the broken hub and a good polish all this beauty needs is the special Brooks saddle to go with the other special components on this bike. Stan Engelbrecht Posted March 17, 2016 Share Thanks to everyone who entered! Great to see so many fantastic bikes getting ready to line up at our inaugural Eroica South Africa. It was a tough choice, but I'm sure you all agree Loose cog needed some new leather down there. But don't despair - I have some more Brooks saddles and beautiful Santini jerseys to give away! Watch this space... zagato, Eppie, dimsum and 1 other

Loose cog Posted March 18, 2016 Share A big thank you to Eroica South Africa and Brooks as sponsor for choosing me as the winner of the limited edition L’Eroica Tuscany Team Professional saddle. I am over the moon and can't wait until Eroica next month. I am a huge Brooks fan and one of my prized possessions is this 57 Brooks Professional saddle which had its tip circumcised. It now rests temporarily on my Colnago Master pista until I finish building my Peugeot PX10. Thank you Brooks and Eroica South Africa!
