I did the short one with my 76y old dad in tow. We started stock last and past more than 50% of the field on 1x11 dualsus MTB's. I have never seen so many Pinarello bikes in real life.

Rode in B , was very shocked to survive to the end with the bunch.

Last km cramped to a standstill from the guys building up for the sprint , sat up and moved out the way...

500 m to go i decided to chase the sprinters down passing between bikes at full taps, got squeezed and boxed in at the cones by the finish and managed 4th/5th on the line

lots of calories burnt but fun factor through the roof  , best result Ever

Guys, this was brilliant. What a ride!

My Garmin said 600m of climbing but it felt much more than that. I was in B and lost the main bunch after a fellow cyclist puncture and ducked in front of me. I chased back from just after the initial left turn on the Sun City road heading towards the N4. Only caught them again just after the right turn to the climb. I was smashed but I could not wait for the other half of the B bunch cause I didn’t even see them. So it was inevitable that the front B group dropped me again on the climb and then some awesome guys (and two ladies, one from AL and one lady from BL in a Jacaranda jersey) joined up. Now we were not the fastest, but we worked together superbly! Wow. Everybody in the group did the pacing except 2 or 3 that were barely hanging on. We stuck together and had a fantastic ride till about 9km out when the AM group caught us and the riders got into that group. I sat up and just chilled the last 3km enjoying the event. Finished in 2:52.

Thanks fellow cyclists. You guys are awesome!

My first Lost City Race. Started in the CL bunch. Bunch didn't last long and not too many people willing to help. I was stuck alone for about the last 30kms. Finished in 3:13, which I am very happy about. I was 80km fit and struggled the last 20km. I want to congratulate ASG for a well organised race. Not too much traffic, except for the last couple of kms before Sun City. Marshalls did an excellent job. I will definitely be back next year.

Got dropped by BL after my rear brake my decided to stick.

Caught by some CL okes, when an AL (high viz Rudy helmet) guy helped me a leap to faster CL group. He punctured about 10km from the end, sorry for not stopping with you  Awesome sprint for the line!

Thanks for a fantastic race!

I thought it was a good race and well organised. Only slight negative (not that it mattered to me because I had nothing left for a sprint finish) was that I heard a lot people at the finish saying that the finish line kindof caught them off guard and they were getting themselves ready for the sprint and then suddenly found themselves crossing the finish line unexpectedly. I think some sort of banners indicating the finish would have been an easy fix there.
