Surprised they were in a mall for so long. Can't think of a bs in any mall anymore, unless those guys in Nelspruit are still in the Riverside Mall, which I saw years ago, heck Cajees were even in Westgate at one stage, Tony Impey in Bedford Centre for many years, Eastgate Cycles and Hardware a long time ago. Is the lbs still in the Gateway Mall?

oh do tell us more -thought it would go in big lots to bike stores, if they went bike by bike it must have took forever

That fat bike above went for R12500, R500 more than retail price and excluding 25% commission. #overpaid

25% commission, sure it's not 15%

anyway, so i suppose it all ends up in the hub classifieds in the end!

I will miss them for those saturday night missions.

You're busy in the garage. Getting the bike sorted for a sunday morning ride.

It looks like frankensteins lab up in there. Then you realise you need something.

Nobody in the whatsapp groups can help. Its 20:38. There's still time.

You drop everything and gooi to canal walk.

My other half was there. It was bike by bike and it took hours. 11% buyers commission plus 14 %VAT. Apparently a lot of the bikes went for close to retail before the commission and vat were added.

Crazy. ...I thought I could get me a cheap car at Aucor's auctions..prices were mad after adding VAT and comm. ...bought the same type of car cheaper at a dealer. ..go figure. ..????

Haven't followed all the posts but in my simple uninformed retail mind there is no way that a cycle shop can pay high-street rentals and still have margin left for overheads and profit. But I'm a retail cynic.

Rent was too high, apparently City Cycles occupied 3 units which meant mega rent, they just couldn't sell enough bikes to keep up with expenses.
