Every rider gets points and is judged/scored according to their individual qualifying and race results and some other fantasy factors so it makes things interesting otherwise all the teams would be very similar. This is the first time I'm playing any sort of fantasy league, but I went with picking a decent rider near the top and then spent the rest on some good consistent (not necessarily expensive) riders to make up the balance. Not going to give too much away but I reckon a good lady rider can score some decent points for the team.

I'm happy with the choices though so more than likely just going to leave it as is.

From what I understand of the Rules, yes you will need to complete your team before the first race weekend - As in have all your slots filled. Rules: http://fantasy.dirtmountainbike.com/default.aspx?page=rules#p4UVuj0q5S03rv2P.97 "All teams that are completed by the transfer amnesty deadline of 09:30 on 9 April 2016 BST will be submitted automatically. Any teams that are incomplete, or entered after the transfer amnesty, will need to be manually submitted to start scoring points. To do this, press the 'SAVE' button which will appear on the 'Team' page once your team is FULLY built. In this case you may not score at the first race. Whether or not you will qualify to score in any subsequent race depends on whether you meet the respective deadlines set out in the below Transfer Section. The manual submission of your initial will not be deducted from your transfer allocation."
